Rebrickable

Brickset's API covers sets, minifigs and instructions — it has no parts endpoint, so part numbers, names and artwork come from Rebrickable instead. A key is free from rebrickable.com/api. Leave this blank to work entirely by hand with your own uploaded images.

{% if env_key_present %}
REBRICKABLE_API_KEY is also set in your environment. A key entered here takes priority.
{% endif %}
Print defaults
Most printers are a few tenths of a millimetre out. Print one sheet with "outline each label" ticked, measure the drift, and put it here.
Tape printer (Brother VC-500W)

The VC-500W is AirPrint-enabled, which means it speaks IPP on port 631. Put its IP address here and LIM can send labels to it directly over the network — no Brother driver, no P-touch Editor. Give the printer a DHCP reservation first, or the address will move.

Leave this blank to skip direct printing; tape labels can always be downloaded as a PDF instead.

The house size is 40 × 15mm, or 40 × 20mm when a drawer holds two part types. Labels lie across the tape, so each uses only its height in tape length — about 1.5m per 100 standard labels. This needs 50mm tape.
Only applies to the "fit the tape width" size — fixed 40mm labels always lie across the tape. If those prints come out sideways, untick this once here.
Leave on "Ask the printer" unless it rejects jobs. Use Test connection on the tape page to see what it accepts.
Dymo LabelWriter
Where the Dymo page starts. Several drawer labels are ganged onto one sticker and you cut them apart — a 101 × 54mm label takes four to six. There is nothing to configure beyond this: a LabelWriter 4XL is USB, so LIM hands you a PDF at exactly the stock size and your own driver prints it.
Label font
{% if font_info.kind == 'system' %}

Labels are drawn with {{ font_info.name }}.

{{ font_info.path }}

{% elif font_info.scalable %}

Fallback No system font found, so labels use {{ font_info.name }}.

It prints at the right size, but a real font looks better: apt install fonts-dejavu-core on the server, or set LABEL_FONT to a .ttf file and restart.

{% else %}

Broken No scalable font on this server.

Labels will print about a millimetre tall whatever Text size says, because Pillow's built-in font ignores the size asked for. Install fonts-dejavu-core, or point LABEL_FONT at a .ttf file, and restart.

{% endif %}
PDF export
{% if pdf_available %}

ReportLab is installed, so the PDF button is available on the print page.

{% else %}

PDF export is optional and needs ReportLab:

pip install reportlab

Printing straight from the browser works without it and is usually the more accurate of the two anyway.
